Learning Targets

World Language Learning Targets include:

• Writing Proficiency - Writing in the WL should demonstrate proficiency in a variety of topics, with a variety of vocabulary based on the topic, and using correct grammar.

• Speaking Proficiency - Speaking in the WL should demonstrate proficiency in a variety of topics, with a variety of vocabulary based on the topic, and using correct grammar.

• Listening Comprehension - Listening comprehension is demonstrated by being able to identify the main idea and all supporting details of what is heard.

• Reading Comprehension - Reading comprehension is demonstrated by being able to identify the main idea and all supporting details of what is heard.

• Content Proficiency - Proficiency in grammar and vocabulary.

Personal Management / Behavior Learning Targets.  This is what I/we expect of all students.  Students will receive a rating of: (CI) - Consistently and Independently (Highest), (G) - Generally (Mid), (R) - Rarely (Lowest)

1. BLT1 - I can manage my responsibilities as a student.  Within this target, the following are what I expect and will evaluate students on in my class.

1. BST1.1 - I turn in work on time.
2. BST1.4 - I use my class time appropriately.
3. BST1.5 - I am prepared for class with necessary materials and am ready to learn.
4. BST1.6 - I complete my makeup work in a timely manner. 
5. BST1.10 - My work demonstrates quality work.

2. BLT2 - I can monitor, evaluate, and direct my learning.  Within this target, the following are what I expect and will evaluate students on in my class.

1. BST2.1 - I can use rubrics to accurately assess my progress toward learning targets.
2. BST2.10 - I can articulate specific areas in which I need help.
3. BST2.11 - I can advocate for myself.

3. BLT3 - I can clearly communicate and work effectively within a team or group.  Within this target, the following are what I expect and will evaluate students on in my class.

1. BST3.1 - I show my commitment to the group goals through my active participation/engagement.
2. BST3.2 - I listen respectfully and acknowledge the contributions of others.
